2009/2010 GFAF Volunteers of the Year

On Wednesday, June 2nd, the GFAF held their Annual Meeting/Patio Party and it was a blast. And it didn’t go by without recognizing four GFAF members for the their outstanding contributions to the club and its members over this past year. For those of you who were unable to attend, read more about our Fantastic Four below. We would be remised if we did not thank ALL the GFAF members who took time out of their busy schedules this past year to lend a hand in supporting the club and making our events and programs as successful as they were. Anyone interested in any level of volunteerism in the 2010/2011 year, please feel free to contact in-coming GFAF President, Tobin Lehman at contact@tobinlehman.com. Whether you want to volunteer at an event, join a committee, or simply learn more about the ad club, we welcome your enthusiasm.

This year Lisa served on the Public Service committee helping out at the drop of a hat, with copy writing, copy editing, campaign concept ideas, proofing every public service collateral piece that we produced this year, and boxing up troops care packages. Lisa is also the one who introduced the club to AnySoldier.com. As a mom of a Marine-to-be, this campaign has certainly been near and dear to her heart.

Stacey is a great example of someone who led the club (past president), took a short break and then renewed her energies for GFAF. She was integral in this year’s ADDY Awards serving as Judging Chair, following last year’s stint as ADDY co-chair! Stacey has served as a good sounding board for our leadership and continues to be one of the few active links between our past and our future.

louannebrianafanzone.jpgBRIANA FANZONE
This past year Briana has had her creative hand in numerous GFAF programs and campaigns. She was the designer behind the collateral for the very first event of our 20th Anniversary year, the Cheers to 20 Years With Beer postcard; Briana served on the Student Portfolio Bootcamp committee and helped the day of as a portfolio reviewer (we might add she was the last review standing, staying late to ensure she saw each student vying for her attention.); She donated custom designed jewelry to 2 public service campaign auctions to help raise funds for the various organizations; Briana was a 2010 student scholarship selection co-chair; And for the third year in a row, served on the ADDY committee.

louanneclaireurban.jpgCLAIRE URBAN
Claire has been supportive with her attendance at most GFAF meetings this year (and in the past) and has pitched in wherever asked, most notably by taking on the Student ADDY awards this year. She did this almost single-handedly and brought in a greater number of entries than in the past. She didn’t stop there but continued to work with the committee on the professional ADDY’s, even spending the entire day at set-up (while on muscle relaxers, we might add!).
