Greater Frederick Advertising Federation Announces New Officers

The Greater Frederick Advertising Federation is pleased to announce their new officers, who will take office on July 1, 2008.  Louanne Welgoss, former GFAF Vice President and owner of LTD Creative, was elected as President; Cheri Baker of Shoestring Communications is the new Vice President; Lisa Gorham of Jean Peterson Design is the Treasurer; and Amanda Ebert of Frederick County Bank will remain in the position of Secretary.  Serving a two-year director term are Tobin Lehman of Enforme Interactive, Megan Mullaney of Jean Peterson Design, and Christina Renshaw of Text Design.  Doug Angell of the Imagination Center, Edward Araya of the Frederick News-Post, and Shuan Butcher of the Frederick Arts Council will serve a one-year director term.  Immediate Past President is Sandy Sponaugle of Platinum PR.

“Having been an active member of the Greater Frederick Advertising Federation for over 10 years, I have been part of some really exciting changes within the organization,” stated Louanne Welgoss, GFAF President.  “We have a diverse group of directors who have many great ideas for the upcoming year, so I am confident that the organization will continue to grow and improve.”

The Greater Frederick Advertising Federation, part of the American Advertising Federation, is a regional organization that supports the fields of advertising and marketing.  GFAF educates their members on recent trends and provides networking opportunities with colleagues within the profession.  They support the community through volunteer projects and award an annual student scholarship.
