Our First Time

The First Annual GFAF Appreciation Awards were presented on Thursday, June 11th to three deserving GFAF Members who gave countless hours of their time to the club over the past year.

Erin Biles was an invaluable member of the 2009 ADDY committee. She did an amazing job with the multitude of tasks that accompany the huge job of public relations for the ADDYs. Erin also served as the 2009 ADDY Winners Showcase event chair, organizing a wonderful opening reception and month-long event paying tribute to this year’s ADDY recipients.

The 2009 ADDYs couldn’t have been possible without the incredible efforts of ADDY co-chair Stacey Collins. She spent endless hours making sure this year’s ADDYs would be an event to remember. And, since the ADDYs didn’t take up enough of her time (haha), she also chaired the Board of Directors Nominating Committee this year.

We can’t thank Erin Tinney enough for the many tasks she took on this past year. Not only did she chair the 2009 Student ADDYs, she also was the nominating committee chair for this year’s Student Scholarship Fund. Erin, again, took on the task of coordinating the music for the 2009 ADDYs – we can’t get enough of her iPod playlists! Erin was also a volunteer at the 2009 Student Portfolio Bootcamp.

There’s a first for everything, but this is definitely not the last. The GFAF Board of Directors greatly appreciates everyone who continues to volunteer their time and efforts to the club. Keep up the great work — we look forward to hosting the 2nd Annual Appreciation Awards at the 2010 Annual Meeting.

The GFAF is looking for volunteers to give just a few hours of their time each month. Volunteering is a very rewarding experience, and a great networking opportunity. Contact Tobin Lehman today!
