You’re Not Alone: New Members Benefit From Mentoring Program
New this month, your GFAF board has voted to adopt a new member mentoring program that pairs new members with old to help them assimilate more quickly and more comfortably into the club. We currently have 12 members who have been assigned a mentor from the board. The role of the mentor will be to give each member a personal welcome to the club, to personally invite them to events throughout the year and to help introduce them face-to-face to the rest of the membership. We hope this will encourage a legacy of participation and anticipate that this year’s “mentees” will be next year’s mentors, thus perpetuating personal involvement from each new membership class.
If you would like to be a mentor…or wish you had one, even though you’ve belonged to the GFAF for awhile…please don’t hesitate to contact Cheri Baker.
